Info
Up close, a tree is no longer a tree. It becomes landscape: ridge lines, canyon walls, layered strata, peeling continents. Bark is a series of close-up black and white photographs that explore the outer skin of trees as abstract terrain. Stripped of color and context, each image presents a surface that has been shaped by decades of growth, drought, insect, wind, and rot. Plating scales give way to peeling sheets. Smooth columns dissolve into fibrous curtains.
